    Hello guys/gals,
I just picked up a '98 taco ext cab 4x4 for 500$ it had front end damge but that almost taken care of. I'm new to the toyota scene but not new to off roading, my first off roader was an '89 bronco II you can check out the build here.

That build took about 3 years I did all the work my self then i sold it to pay the down payment on my house. Then I did a faster more envolved build on a ranger that ended up consuming the bronco II project after i bought it back, you can see the build here.

Right now my focus is rebuilding the front clip of my taco but then i will get started on the build up of the taco. I dont have the equipment i had when i was building my 2 previous builds so not sure how extreme i will get with the taco build. Here are some pictures of the new toy.
Here it is at the accident site with the previous owner.

Here it is after previous owner removed the damage and pulled out the core support damage the best he could.

This past weekend i put a new radiator and clutch fan in and have it back on the road i am ordering a new core support tonight and then i will install new grill, headlights and condensor and that will get her back to looking good.

This is how it sits right now. I'm waiting on my parts to come in so I can swap out the radiator support, and the rest of the front end parts that i picked up.

Today I fixed the terrible stereo install that the previous owner did. Only 1 factory speaker worked, so I removed a faulty connector in the aftermarket harness and then I replaced all 4 paper conned speakers with a set of sony explodes I had laying around. It sounds so much better now.

I don't have all the facilities or equipment that I had during the previous builds so not sure how wild I can get with the taco build. I would love to do a SAS but not sure if i can swing that or not.

I just got the shipping info for my remaining part needed to fix the front end. AFter all is said and done i will have maybe 1200$ wrapped up in the truck before i start doing upgrades.
    $500 for truck
269$ rad support, mirror, tailgate cables, door handles, a/c condensor.
$145 duralst platinum battery <wasnt necessary but hell why not.
$180 new radiator, radiator cap, and fluids
    $40 headlights, grill
Even at this cost I think I'm still coming out on top. If nothing else I'm just glad to be back in a 4x4 and out of that damn jeep of mine. Plus I've had a good time working on this truck so far.

The only issue I'm having trouble with is figuring out why my front diff keeps engaging while driving 55mph in 2wd.
