Okay, cool. I always wondered how much of the bumper you could see while driving.

Yea... I was curious where the hoops would be when I finally installed the bumper, but after driving 60 miles back and forth from school today, they're plenty out of the way. :D You shouldn't have to worry about them being in the way at all...

I like to see the hoops on my rig... good reference points in tight situations. I actually wish I would have got 3 hoops on my truck.

You could always talk to Jason about adding just the hoops? Yours being a 2013 model, I can imagine that it would look great on your truck though...

You being taller, you might see the outer hoops. I don't know about the center hoop... I haven't tried looking for it when driving yet, so you have a potential to be able to see it...

What winch and lights are you planning on running?

For the winch, we'll have a Warn M8000 with a Masterpull Synthetic Winch Line and some sort of aluminum fairlead.

For lights, the front will have D2 Flood Lights for in the bumper and a 20-22" LED Combo Light Bar to go in between where the center tube mounts on the top plate. The rear bumper will have flush D2 Flood, or Diffused, Backup Lights.

At least this is all in theory... :D

Sounds like about what I want to do... Except get a TJM Stealth 9000 winch synthetic. And for lights go with the rampage lights from relentless. Front spot pods, rear flood, and a combo Light bar. They are less expensive then the rigid.. But idk about the light output if its the same, probably pretty close. Its what they run in their trucks. Still kinda undecided.

Dude, truck looks great man! I used to have a 2001 AC tacoma, same color. Just upgraded to a 2014 trd dcsb o/r. If you're wanting to bring some life back to those fender flares, try some Mothers back to black. You can buy it at walmart or really any auto parts store. It will take a couple coats, but it will make those fender flares nice and black again and remove that oxidation. Here's a link to it on walmart so you can see what it looks like. It will really make your truck pop! Looking at your rig makes me kinda miss my '01 now. Have fun with your build man!!!

Why get a TJM Stealth 9000 w/ Synthetic? My father has been running a Warn M8000 with Masterpull for years and he's never had issues with it.

Relentless' Rampage series was what I was planning on looking at first. I know they're cheaper and roughly the same as Rigid, only not with a huge price tag. But why go spot over flood in the front? I've always heard the opposite where you want to light the surrounding area up, not just a certain section... The spotlights in the LED light bar would suffice almost everything.

Its a toss up between warn and the tjm. Ive only heard good things about the tjm (and im sure the same about the warn). Lifetime warenty, wireless and wired remote, external battery cutoff etc.. I'm still deciding...

As for the lights. Again, still deciding but i was thinking spot for the front to throw light as far as possible and then the combo led/flood bar would take care lighting up the surrounding area. Just what im thinking right now. All this is probably kinda far down the road.

Ill probably change my mind multiple times from now to the time of purchase haha

I'm really liking the TJM for it's wireless capabilities and plan to get one whenever I do get a winch.

As for lights, my preference is Rigid for everything except for light bars. Can't justify the price of their light bars but I'll buy their rock lights or pods. Love my D2 driving beam pods from them.

Thanks!! Truck has served me well so far. Thanks for the idea of Mother's Back to Black. I'm always happy to take suggestion on how to revitalize my fender flares. I'll definately have a ton of fun with this truck. :D

Yeah, the wireless is one of the main reasons im looking at TJM... And i heard it works pretty good. One to two car lengths being the range.

You planning on putting any lights inside the bumper?

Yeah, nice to have if you're outside the truck. I still plan to have dedicated switches inside the truck.

Whenever I decide to take the bumper off and weld on the light tabs I'll throw a set of D2 fogs in there. Just a matter of time and access to a welder haha

My primary focus though is on regearing and a locker up front. The 4:10's just aren't cutting it anymore. Hope to get that done sometime next year...

    Sorry thread jacking OP....

Oh, I see. I always wondered why you didn't have lights there haha. What would you be regearing to? 4.88?
