Nice choice, I really like the look of the 3.0 on mine.

I think i saw your getting the color changing halos? Are they going behind the vent or in front? Either way it should look pretty good!

Sweet! Be sure to post up pics/vids when you're done. Really interested to see how the color changing halos look. To bad the D2S is on back order for you...

Ha yeah, thanks! Estimated delivery is Tuesday.. It will probably be welded within the next two weeks. I saw the bed rack you mocked up, looks really good! If i get a CVT ill have to start thinking of my own bed rack design..

Thanks... I really took most of my inspiration from Adam's (Box Rocket).

What type of welder to you have? You might want to upgrade to 220v, if you haven't already. It made a world of a difference when finishing up my front bumper. I also recommend using gas. Makes the welds cleaner and it doesn't splatter as much as say flux core would. Just my 2¢...

I sadly don't have a welder.. I'm learning to weld in the future. I'm having a buddy of mine weld up the rear for me. He has gas and 220v welder so i think it will turn out pretty good. I really need to get to learning because there are so many things i want to do that require welding (Slider, bed rack) and it seems like a useful tool..

EDIT: Hows that paint looking in your bumper?! Haha

If you ever get the chance to learn then do it... Welding it extremely useful to know, especially for someone like myself who might SAS my truck in the future. :spy:

As for my bumper... It's finished... It's painted all ready to go on the truck. I might get new hardware today or tomorrow. All I'm waiting on is the corner light since I broke my on accident... I can't really do much until the corner light comes in... Welp...

Yeah i'm definitely going to learn it. I'm just wondering if i should go to a class to learn or just try to learn by myself. Idk

If you go for the SAS I cant wait to see that done! Ive only read a little on SAS but would you be linking or doing a leaf spring SAS?

Cant wait to see the painted bumper on your truck. Its gonna look awesome! I agree. Those blinkers suck to relocate. I'm lucky i got it the first time.

My dad and I learned on our own, but going to class or working on you own works... Either way, I would see what the classes have to offer and maybe attend one to see if you like it...

As for the SAS, link the front, 14" coilovers. For the rear, I'll most likely go with leaf springs since I would like to keep the bed in one piece... And then 37s on some sort o Beadlock rims to top it off. :D

Luck was not on my side when I tried it. Hopefully the blinkers will be here Tuesday or Wednesday so I can finally finish this project and put it to rest...

Subb'd, that's one clean truck! I like the satoshi & emblem you've got. Can't wait to see the bumpers fabbed & installed.

Nice! I like the SAS. How likely is this to happen haha? I always enjoy reading through the SAS conversion builds (45acp)

If I get the money and have the time, then I would definately go forth and do it. As of right now, I'll see where I can and cannot go with the IFS. If you want another SAS build (or 3) I can link you to my dad's build. He owns a 07 FJC that's been dubbed SAC'D FJC. With 45acp, I'm curious when his build is going to be done... Seems like it's taking a while.

It seems the IFS can go a lot of places but the SAS flex pics are amazing! Like JLees truck. It seems the joke on TW is that 45acp will never finish but when hes done im sure it will be well worth the wait.

Yeah throw me a link to the SAC'D FJC i would love to read through it.

I'm sure I can do a lot with the IFS, the SAS will enhance everything. 45acp is probably midway though his complete overhaul.

    Here ya go...

    Phase 1: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/member-build-ups/29803-sbechtolds-project-fj-cruiser-sas.html

    Phase 2: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/member-build-ups/52757-project-sacd-fjc-phase-ii.html

    Phase 3: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru...07618-project-sacd-fjc-rebuild-then-some.html

Phase 1 is the orginal SAS. Phase 2 is miscellaneous work to fine tune the truck. Phase 3 is the rebuild.... And the rear 3 link.

    Enjoy. :D
