Needed a second hand and opinion. It got hung up on the steering rack so I had to take all the bolts out and shift the rack. I wasn't thinking and the diff was just hanging there. Shifted the rack too much and the diff almost crushed my face...

Basically I wrestled with it for about 2 hours bf texting a local TW member to help. It can be done with one person but you need to be able to wrestle a big ass diff. Im not weak but wasnt really up to the task, mostly due to a bad shoulder (and possibly being weak ). Can't really use the shoulder as an excuse though as the guy that helped had a bad elbow...

I didn't have to touch any of the steering components and only had to undo one CV. Wish I lived near so I could give you a hand

I don't recall any steering components interfering with my front diff removal/installation either. I DO remember the front diff hitting the transmission, and wrestling with it for hours trying to figure out how to get it to clear.

Different motor/oil pan/trans? Not sure. It was a pita though.

Good to see it going. Seems a bit sketchy, but that is half the fun right?

Yes definetely fun. And definetely sketchy hehe. When January and February rolls around, it all will be close to where I imagined it. Properly tuned and quieted down. I got so used to tinkering around under the hood, I don't know what I would do if it was finished lol

Awesome, make sure you get a quick jump on the fueling. What are you thinking to tune it with?

Yeah definetely not boosting all day long but I'm sure it will be fine until I get the AEM FIC. I don't plan on messing with the timing.

I know it's not turbo related but I thought I'd show off my new train horn and air compressor setup. It's all super compact right behind the cab under the bed. I have a pressure relief valve, a gallon air tank and a chuck to hook up any air tool or tire fill valve

The compressor is under the back seat in the storage compartment.

I put a few coats of rubberized undercoating to waterproof the valves and stuff.

Good to see. You'll want to retard timing under high load once you start getting high intake temps. I almost got that piggyback until a used mapecu3 popped up. Grab one of those if you ever find a used one. I don't like aem's electronics mostly because they are buggy and cheaply built with the stuff I've seen and worked with. That is just my relationship with them so far. Also I couldn't find any tuning support since you have to start from scratch. Intercept the o2 for sure since you are such low boost. It makes a crap ton of bottom end power and helps spool.

My intake temps have been darn near atmospherical even at 5 psi so I'm not really worried about timing. This little intercooler works great. I'd absolutely love to go mapecu if the price is right but for an end goal of 8 psi and 300~ whp I'm just not sure I can make such a drastic jump in price.

He has it listed on Customtacos.com. Its going to go quick. If you can, I would suggest snagging it now and saving a few hundred. Just make sure the harness fits or can be made to fit your ECU.

I set up my under hood lights. Screwed them into some holes I cut in the rubber strip under the hood. About $4.50 total using an alligator clip and wire I had sitting around

CX just got the manifolds in stock last night, and I ordered mine. I'll probably start a build thread tonight over on the 4Runner forum. I'll post a link.

Hey Chris, I think I might be able to make this URD injector controller work. I looked on URDs website and saw a custom USB to serial converter that they made to work with their products. I still have this thing hooked up so I'm going to try to call gadget and get his advice.
