Lol these smiley face graphics crack me up. The boss had an emergency surgery to deal with (his wife) so he couldn't help me last weekend. He'll be in tomorrow and hopefully this weekend he'll be able to help my put the headers and oil pan in. Just ordered a ford oil cooler for pre-turbo cooling... should be here in a couple days.
What's the wait on your build again? Exhaust?

Just ebay. Model Y0-2. It's a 3/8" barb in and out and it increases to like 1/2" (more surface area to cool the oil better) in the inner portion. $34

Mounted the oil cooler... going to install an inline 1/8" restrictor before the cooler so the pressure isn't so high in there. That will also help my turbo's love for leaking out of both ends. Might have to rebuild it soon.

So your headers in? What are some tips to get these on? Heard you had to take out some studs, etc...

All I know is the easiest way to remove the crossover intact with the engine still in is to unbolt the driveshaft and trans crossmember and lower it to the ground. This give you enough room to get it out fairly easily. Also a small body lift helps.

Otherwise if you aren't reusing the crossover cut that sucker up.

You say stay rear mount but you'll be so happy to finally be running a proper front mount and get rid of that noisy ass return pump.

Oh it was nothing short of 8 hours of hell but we got everything on. The crossover pipe came right out without cutting on the passenger side but it took some twisting and especially balls. Didn't have to jack the engine up for the crossover pipe but I did for the oil pan. We definitely could have gotten it all done in half the time if we would have used wd40 prior to loosen up all the bolts and just take the whole damn front diff off without messing around for 2 hours trying to get a good enough position (that doesn't exist) to pull the oil pan out.

You're in for a real job but use lots of penetrating oil like wd40 and have a cheater bar and a sawzall handy. I had to hack off one of the stock crossover studs because it was seized up so bad.

You might have to cheat a little and use different/smaller bolts for some of it because the ones I got from CX didn't fit right on the turbo.
Other than that the CX racing headers fit PERFECTLY and I'm very happy with them.

It slid right out man. I can honestly say that I won't be in the mood to install a front mount turbo kit for a VERY long time. This stuff is no joke.

Runs great and no leaks so far. I still have to weld the muffler on and cut down/install the charge pipes.

That's good it came right out. My experience with the crossover is in a 2nd gen 4runner and they may be a bit more cramped for space. Wondering if it will fix your misfiring issue at high boost. What size drain line you using?

Last night I was pondering my oil selection. I've been using 10w-30, but last oil change I switched to Rotella 15w-40 and wondering if that increased the oil pressure enough to push it past the seals. What you been using?

    I use nothing but high-mileage full-sinthetic valvoline or mobile1 5w30.
Used AN10 (5/8") for the drain. I didn't see any oil splatter under my hood or engine components from the turbo outlet being uncovered so that is a great sign.
