i am wanting to put a dynomax racing bullet on my truck and am thinking if i put it right after the cat it might give me a deeper tone...i need to just try it but i am just worried about putting it that close. is the any problem? please give me some opinions...i can weld and am willing to do it if no problems are presented.
thanks. and i thinke deeper because it will have more pipe for the tone to go through.

less pipe=louder, not necessary deeper tone. I would just put the muffler in the stock location and dump it before the axle points towards the ground. That will make it nice and deep.

i dont mean less pipe. i mean put the bullet right after the cat and run the rest of the pipe out the back like i have it (dual y piped at the axle). i was thinking more pipe after the muffler it might get deeper maybe? or sound better. and already have no muffler and it sounds perfectly fine...yes a v6 but not a pissed of weedeater and thats not imo thats fact.

    wut?

Do you mean run duals our the rear with the muffler closer to the cat?

First off duals are pointless on our trucks, and I dont think having the muffler close to the cat with all that pipe after that would do anything.

Like I said, if you want good sound, keep the muffler in the stock location and dump the exhaust after the axle pointed toward the ground. Many people on this forum run this setup and are very happy with it.

And run a magnaflow 14'' oval muffler. Best flow and sound.
