I'm going to check out a shell in a little bit. The guy who owns it doesn't speak much English - his wife was doing the translating. Anyways, I planned on bringing some tools with me in case he doesn't have what is needed there to remove the shell from his truck.

I'm guessing different clamp manufacturers use different screw/bolt methods, what are the common types of tools needed? Sockets/opened ended wrenches, Allen keys?

Mine is a SnugTop. It just requires a 1/2 inch deep socket and ratchet.

I would just bring a socket set and some end wrenches.

I think you'll do fine with standard open-ended wrenches, but of course bring your metrics, too. Most are standard nut-and-bolt affairs.

    Good luck.
