Getting ready to upgrade to a new double cab 4x4.

Will be selling my 01 extra cab SR5 4x4 with 5spd manual and 2.7 4cyl.

    82K miles.

Overall condition is good - exterior paint is in good shape, no accidents. External plastic is faded. I'm 3rd owner - truck has a Southern (Georgia) history. I bought it from a Toyota dealer 2.5 years ago. Frame looks fine and I assume (I hope) a dealer would have examined it for frame problems prior to selling.

Interior condition is good. Some carpet piling on the headliner and a stain or two on the upholstery.

SR5 of the time - slider, power locks, alloy (5 spoke) wheels, tint but no power windows, or mirrors.

I'm thinking around 10K. Am I low, high or close?

    Thanks for any advice.

Sorry for the crappy pic - will add more.

Always better to start high and come down than start low and try to go up. Check KBB and NADA. I'd price a little higher than what those sites say and see what happens.

Thanks - I've noticed that KBB/Edmunds are consistently low compared to what stuff is being listed for on Autotrader.

Of course list and actual are different stories...

Tacomas sell for way above blue book, at least around here. When I was looking for mine they were selling for at least 2 grand over blue book. They sell fast, if I were you I would ask at least 13 for it and see how it goes.

I bought mine,01 4x4 double cab with 100,000 for 13.5 otd from a dealer. This was after 6 months of searching everywhere. They go fast, usually sold by the end of the day.

I would put at least 12k on it, paid 10k for my 99 with 110,000 on it and he had a line of guys wanting to look at it.

Thanks - I have noticed they sell above book. I typically price in line with Edmunds but that just didn't seem to apply for this vehicle.

Wasn't sure if the 4 cyl. is a big liability. I assume the 5 spd is a positive.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I just did a deal on a new double cab 4x4 TRD off-road. The 01 will be cleaned up and ready to sell by next weekend. I'll post an ad here when I get it listed.

with low miles on it and looks like a pretty nice clean truck, depending on what book for it says, id start around 13, but if i were buying i probably wouldnt pay over 10.5 -11. i just gave 9000 for my rebuilt title 00 3.4 5sp 4x4 SR5 TRD with 150k miles to a private party seller near my house. the day before i bought it i looked at an 01 with 50k miles, v6 5sp also rebuilt title, but that one had some pretty bad frame rust issues, and a used car lot had 12,750 on the windshield, 2 days after i got mine that one was gone too.

Listed the truck last week on Autotrader at 12,700. Had lots of calls. A deal fell through at 11,500; had an offer for 10,800 I refused and I ended up selling for 11,300. Had an out of state offer for 11,700 but went for the convenience of a local sale.

Can't thank this forum enough for the feedback. I probably would have let it go for under 10K until I checked here.

    Cheers.

BTW - the new double cab 4x4 is pretty sweet.
