Yeah, I saw that. I'm not worried about somebody removing the multiple bolts to remove the whole bed rack. I'll use the idea for locking the HiLift. I was just wondering if anybody had a way of locking the shovel and axe.

The standard size rack should fit behind your toolbox. I can probably add a CO2 tank mount. Just a matter of getting the mount ahead of time to make it fit right. You could use the same mount that I use for my tank. I could pick one up locally and you'd just have to pay the cost of the bracket.

The clamps for the tools can be ordered with locking knobs for an extra $15ea

Kinda hard to see but the knobs on this one have locks. You can sorta see the key slots.

Hmm, awesome... Now I'm tempted to order one of these before rock sliders instead! Haha

Do you think one of those tank mounts could fit sideways between the wheel wells and the bed rails? I want to keep everything out of the way as much as possible.

Not sure what you mean. Do you want to lay it down on top of the wheel well?

Yeah, pretty much. That way it's out of the way of the main bed-space.

figure out where you want to put the tank. If the tank fits the bracket will fit.

I guess you need to consider the opening of the locking arms. You'll need it in a spot that there is room for the arms to open.

Here's mine again on my bed deck. It's pretty tight here to open the arms against the side of the bed.

Hmm, I like that mount in the second pic. Would you be willing to make one of those? I'm thinking with that I can just set it in the back of my truck when trail riding, then just set it inside my truck so nobody steals it.

Keep in mind that running co2 laying down is not recommended. They are only supposed to be used strait up or 45* and up.

Hmm, dang. I want a way to be able to have it mounted in the bed when I need it, but be able to store it inside my truck to keep bed space open. I'd prefer not to drill holes in the bed just for a tank that will only be there when trail riding.

I did not build that tank bracket. I got it at a local Fire Extinguisher supply shop. I have two of them (since I have two tanks) and they work great. Its the same bracket in the photo with my yellow tank. Monte is right that you should have the tank vertical when using it.

Also, I would not just set that bracket in the bed of the truck and expect it to stay put on trail rides. It should be bolted down. A CO2 tank rolling around loose in the bed or inside the cab of the truck probably isn't the best idea.

I was thinking that maybe the tank bracket like something you had would keep it from moving around very much.

I found this, I think I'll use these so it's minimal space used.

Now it's just a matter of deciding whether to get one of these bed racks or sliders.... :confused:Haha

I believe my order was his first bed rack for a 2nd gen. I also plan on mounting my RTT on it. He is backed up on orders, and I believe I won't be seeing mine until June sometime. So to answer your question, no one has this rack on a 2nd gen yet.

Well if I get the bed rack, I'll buy all the recovery gear that I need to get so I can utilize the rack.

But if I buy sliders it'll protect me from the many door dings I've been getting. Plus they look awesome haha I'm not sure how much I'll utilize the sliders, it all depends on how much trail riding I do while I'm in New Mexico...

Well you can mount it horizontal on the bed rack. But you'll just have to take it off to use it.

I'll just use the mounts above and bolt them to the side of the bed. Mounting it to the bed rack and having to remove it every time I want to use it would get annoying.

Good luck. The sides if the bed are further in then the bed rail..tank wouldn't line up. Also not sure how big those are..and if they would even work

I have the same bracket as Adam. It works great..I see nothing wrong with drilling the bed if your okay with doing the sides.

If I drill into the bed, then the mounts will have the tank laying sideways...
