01-04 tacoma fender flares

I have 4 toyota tacoma 2001-2004 fender flares. They are the stock black fenders. All are in good condition and come with hardware needed for installation. I just took them off my 2001 toyota tacoma 4x4 TRD and replaced them with painted flares.

This might be a stupid question, but will they fit my 99 tacoma 4x4? I tried searching the internet but cant find a solid answer. Thanks

These fender flares should fit a 99 but a 99 does not come factory with the proper holes needed to install them(or the proper plastic inner fender either) and I don't think it is practical to drill or make the holes needed for the flares.


I found painted flares for sale local on craigslist. But after looking closely at the black and painted flares, they look the same. I would just sand and paint the black flares to match the truck color and add 2 layers of clear coat.

The painted flares I bought aren't in the best condition and I have considered painted them and they should turn out just like painted flares.

 

The bolt holes line up, but the 01-04 flares have plastic clips on the fenders in addition to the bolts. 95.5-00 does not have the square holes for the plastic clips
