I'm installing 5100's with eibachs to replace stock coils and shocks with a spacer lift. I need a pair of stock strut mount plates and bushings. Basically what is in this picture... the thing that got replaced by the lift spacer.

I bought the truck with the spacer on it already and I'm finally moving up in the world. So easy on the bashing, please.

I got a set when I did my eibachs from rock auto.com. I got the cheapest ones and they were great! Gabriel or Monroe or something I think

Do you have to replace these with new strut assemblies or only if your stock ones are crap?

you can reuse old top plates. i think the OP is getting new ones so he can preassemble the new coil-over assembly, then just switch out the old with the new.

I've gotta order new strut mounts because the spacer lift, that has been on the truck since I bought it, replaced the factory mount. So in order for me to do the lift right, I have to get a new mounting plate.

    I'm gonna use this method:

If you have the new springs, top plates, and 5100's there is no need to loosen all that stuff, just take it somewhere or assymble yourself and swap out the old unit with the new one. That way you dont jack up the alignment to bad.

I'm still trying to locate new top plates for a reasonable price. But you have a good point!

I had to drive about an hour to find a place that had them in CT, and I think they were more than $20/each? I want to say like $70 or $80 for a pair? Maybe not...

Mine were toasted, and on one of them had to cut a few of the nuts off. Truck had 285k on it at the time, though. I would've reused if I could.

I really need some of these for mine as well, the lift kit that was on this truck of mine is all made of the poly-whatever stuff, CPS at this point with me. Its all cracked and fubbarred and it bothers me knowing its like that. I have all the shock bushing and shackle bushing doing the same darn thing.

I get a diameter measurement of these and what the hole spread and center is and I will make my own easy enough. I am thinking grade 10.9 studs or some Lawson grade 8 hardware will fix this up easy enough, but if they are 20 bucks at Napa I will be all over that LOL... I can't make them that easy/cheap with all I have going on right now...

This has been a really great and helpful thread for me, thanks...

I searched around until I realized I would have to pay atleast $75 extra for the top plates. My old ones were good so I used those. Either way, the dealer is like $200 for both such is crazy. Auto parts store like, autozone, advanced, and oreileys didn't have any thing for me. Rock auto was the cheapest at like $40-$50 a piece. I skipped over new top plates but if your looking for some. Try Napa or Rock Auto(cheapest I found).

w00dy - Is that the direct link to the strut mounts that you bought? I entered my year and your year into the napa site and that part # from the link isn't an option that shows up for both our trucks :notsure: Just want to make sure I get ones that will work for my 5100/OME setup up front.
