Are those the original coils? I thought the saws had red coils.

How did these compare on road to the 883s you had?

I feel like I've done every iteration of shock/springs out there. I've done the Daystar spacers, OME 881s, OME 883s and coilovers.

The OME 883s on the 90004 shocks is a pretty good set up for a truck that actually sees any off-roading. The 883 has a 590 lb rate, which is good on the road and is the minimum I would consider for a truck that leaves the pavement.

I switched to coilovers due to the adjustability and available higher spring rates. With my set up, the Sway A Ways ended up being a perfect match for the OME 890s I had in the rear. If a person was considering upgrading their front suspension and wanted an awesome off-road set-up, I'd recommend skipping all of the "strut" setups and going with a coil over from the get-go. I learned this lesson the hard/expensive way.:(

As for the OME 880s, 881s and 882s; at a 500 lb rate, I dont really know why anyone bothers, unless they are just driving on the street all the time (which is fine). I ran 881s for a brief period and couldn't get them off fast enough.

I dont even have to coment on the Daystar spacer setup. Total waste of money...

Thanks for the info, i have an all pro plate bumper and ifs skid that are waiting to get put on until i upgrade my coils/shocks (i have a v6 access cab). I actually have friends in Hendersonville for the holidays. Would be sweet if i could get them to pick these up for me when they fly back to Texas.

"Hey Mud Dawg, how do I know these things will be safe when you ship them to me?"

Funny you should ask. How about a veritable sarcophagus of styrofoam, bubble wrap and tape? :D ..........
