I would have picked these up in a heartbeat if they were for the 98-00

Standard halogens stand no chance against retrofits. Side by side there will be some sort of "cutoff" between light and no light, but there will be some ambient light above the "cutoff". HID projectors stop any light from going above the horizontal cutoff. So when you park against a wall, there is literally a night and day difference between the halogens and HID's. Unless you were looking for a different projector.

Ask thunder in his other thread. the 98-00 and the 01-04 are pretty similar in the sense that mounting and aiming. Hit thunder up and I'm sure you'd get a reasonable quote.

Some personal experience with D2S/R bulbs...they're finnicky, they act up sometimes. But that isn't always the case. I just see more people having problems with D2S projectors than H1's. Just my 2¢...clank clank.

On that note, I've heard good things, plenty of good things about Lightwerks. I'm excited to see what you do this time around.

I'm holding back biting the bullet on the D2S 3.0 kit. I really wanted to use the H1's as they look a little easier and everyone uses them but co-worker who is into HID is steering me towards the D2S setup (even though it is $35 more) due to using standard bulbs

I'll be using stock housings, none of those aftermarket one for me
