    Hey all

    Anyone want to trade bumpers? I want to get black one and thought of painting them but seems like mixed results painting chrome.

    Anyone? I'm in 94930

    If you plastidip make sure you do atleast 6 coats because my buddy did his chrome and didnt do enough coats and it looks like shit. i have been debating on doing my chrome but im indecisive:confused:

    I did my front and rear and it looks way better.

    I keep reading about different ways to paint over chrome. Some say you can't really do it and need to have it acid dipped if you wanna paint it. Others say they just sand it down real nice then paint it with etching primer, primer, then paint. Others say sand it and bed liner.

    Not quite sure what I'm gonna do. I out up some ads on pick n pull aka row52 for black bumpers.

    I'll let you guys know what happens :)

    tundra front clip, tundra brakes, cab cage, camburg long travel, archive garage rear shock relocate
    go to your local pool supply store get a gallon of acid to etch it. dilute the muriatic acid wipe it on your bumper with a sponge then wash it off with a hose then paint it. you get a acid etching then the paint should stick. makes the metal weaker tho
