Can Rear Mirrors be swapped with retracting mirrors

    I live on a busy street and checking to see if my stock manual adjusting fixed mirrors on a 2001 Tacoma be swapped out with the kind that can be folded back (spring loaded) Thanks Charlie

    Its always worth a shot, best bet is buying a pair of powered mirrors mainly ones from toyota and and try to put the motor into your mirrors

    oh wait your have the mirrors that dont even fold, yeah you can probably buy a 1st gen that fold pair off ebay

    My 1st Gen has the break away/folding mirrors...shouldn't be too hard to do.

    mainly the 4cyl didnt have folding mirrors, some 3.4's didnt have

    I just thought it was the 5 luggers... Mine doesn't have folding mirrors. Any other truck I've seen has the bigger mirrors, which I assume are the folding ones.
