Follow the hose up to (IIRC), under the hood, and you will see the hose has a "Cap" on it. Thats the breather. Disconnect the hose at the shifter base, and make sure there are no obstructions.
Sorry to dig up an old thread again, but mine does not have a hose runnig up under the hood. The two hoses I found under the hood on the wheel well appear to be from the front locker. Any ideas on how to convert this breather so you can put a hose on it? It does not thread in like the rear diff.
