    Hi,

Anyone know if the pick-up box from a 2000 4wd xtra cab can be swapped with a 2001 same model? How about doors?

My 2000 is going bye-bye due to frame rust, but the body parts are better than the ones on the 2001 I just bought. The hood looks different due to the grille change, or I'd swap that too.

    Thanks!

Yeah shouldn't be a problem. The door might be hard if you have power anything.

'00 has power everything, '01 power nothing. Plus the '00 door has corrosion across the bottom inside I did not see before. The '01 doesn't, but it has a kink in the window frame from a accident (which was straitened out, sort of) which hangs up the window. I'm thinking not worth all the work for damaged goods.

As for the box, I thought the frame might be slightly different due to Toyota not rebuilding pre '01s. The told me they can get frames for '01s but not earlier. Still, I would have to paint to match.

Yeah, you might be better off just getting the truck fixed and repainted at a body shop. Or turn it into a trail rig and not give a shit what it looks like.
