Ok so July of 09 I bought my 02 Tacoma Double Cab with 78k miles for 11K. I LOVE MY TRUCK! I have done a brush gaurd, train horn, touch screen dvd, 10 in ported buzuka tube with 650 wt amp, and K&N filter since. I just purchased a 3 inch lift from Tacolifts.com It should be in this weekend, im so stoked. The lift kit I ordered is the front 3 in spacer with AAL and Biliestein rear shocks This monday im going to DV8 one of south Fl's premeire truck shops and plan to order 18 inch KMC SPY wheels with 285-65-18 Nitto Trail Grappler Tires"32.8 in tire". I HOPE THEY WILL FIT! Does any one have a similiar set up? I will post some pics of the lift this weekend. Any advice for a wheel set up would be great. I was planning on doing 1.25 wheels spacers but Ben at DV8 said not to use them because they will definately rub with 33's.

    Chris

blue led headlights, 285/75/16 grabber AT2's, custom pedals, custom shifter, flowmaster 40 series muffler, bedlinered fender flares, 2.5" lift kit via shackles and spacers, custom exhaust out the back, chrome exhaust tip, and Herculined bed, Weathertech floormats, Cabelas Trail Gear Camo Seat Covers ... Nice thing was I got the truck for $4000
Your all set with that setup to fit those tires. I'm running a 2.5 inch lift and have 285/75/16 tires, pretty much same size just smaller rim, and I have minimal rub at full lock.

    alright i will tomorrow

What a shit show today has been, my lift that was scheduled to come in tomorrow was never shipped by toytec. I called to confirm it shipped because I did not receive a notification. I was originaly told it would be here friday. They said it was just never shipped even thoe everything was in stock. I was super pissed because I need to install it to make sure the tires are going to fit " I told DV8 I would bring it in monday to size the wheel up and order". I really want to instal it this weekend and they wanted to charge me almost $200 to over night it! on top of the $32 i already payed. They agreed to split the overnight fee but i still feel like i got the short end of the stick. So it should be here tomorrow on time but im still out a $100 bones.

    Pics to come....

    THE LIFT IS INSTALED!
Yesterday was a long day. The spring compressor i rented from pepboys was not strong enough to compress the springs so I took it to pepboys to install the spacer. When they were dissasembling the shock they stripped the top bolt so i had to buy all new shocks  Im so happy they did that because WOW what a difference the truck rides like a cadillac on the high way no more annoying shacking. I did not notice my truck riding any stiffer with the 3 in spacer lift. The AAL and bilestein shocks made the rear rise 2.5 in. Heres some pics, it looks like I posted this in the wrong section could a admin please move it to "tacoma build up"?
