Then congrats for being in the great minority of bike riders. If more people were like you, then motorcycles would be much more tolerable.

Ok guys! I heard from the Insurance person and the auto body shop who has come up with an estimate of over 11k in damage. So at a Value of 16k
Do you guys think they will total it????

The skid in this picture comes across into your lane. The skid length will determine how fast he was going, The fact that he crossed a double yellow into YOUR lane should put him at 100% fault. Only way it could be your fault was if the skid and accident were contained in his lane, even then he was probably going to fast.

EDIT to add : He had little to no experience on ANY type of motorcycle. He fixated on your truck and the body naturally turned the bike in the direction he was looking. Any experienced rider knows where ever you look you go, so if you don't want to hit the curb, stop looking at it!

When I got in a wreck a few months back, they told me that if the estimate to fix it was over 50%, they would just total it. Thank god it was only about 25%:D

get a life dude. I own a tacoma and a streetbike. Not everyone who rides are idiots. There are just as many people driving around talking and texting and smoking not paying attention to the road as there are riders stunting and showing off.

So his truck is such a "head turner" that it caused an accident? That, my friend, is something to be proud of.
