new guy looking for advice on a buy

hey everyone, im new to the tacoma world. ive had jeeps my whole life and finally decided its time for a truck. im looking at a 2000 tacoma ext. cab, has 112,000mi, V-6, 6" fabtech lift with radflo adj. coilovers up front, 33's. heres a picture of it. the guys asking $8000. is this a good price, and is there anything i should look for?

Yeah rust. Check the frame, and also check those tube bumpers (they will rust under the paint and it will look like bubbling on the surface. Look in the wheel wells too. Does he have good maintenance logs? A truck like that I'm sure has seen a lot of offroad. How often does he change things like differential fluid? How are the wheel bearings? How old is the clutch? If it's original, 112k is pretty old for a Toyota clutch.

I can't imagine they'd do a drop bracket like that for only 6" on a prerunner... would they?

its a 4x4. im not sure on the maintenance, and im hoping the rust wont be a problem since the truck is from arkansas. he said it needs a timing belt and possibly an alignment bc he just installed the adjustable coilovers. other than that theres nothing its going to need. has new tires, breaks, starter, battery, and steering bushings. it seems like a good truck. im going cash in hand to look at it this weekend. i just thought id run it by some more experienced tacoma people first.
