    CB Radio, 3'' fabtec spacer lift and 3'' body lift flowmaster dual exhaust, deckplate mod, silencer mod, Work in progress pioneer 7900bt stereo with 5X8 infinity speakers all around, and eclipse ex400 amp
    anyone know if you can swap out the stock 3.4l for the newer 4.0l engine in an 01?

    2 inch spacer in the front, and homemade add a leaf in the rear, billet grille, bull bar
    you can put anything in there with enough time, money and wiring skills

    well, what i meant was, how "easy" would it be to drop the 4.0l into my 01?

    u would probaly have to fab engine mounts, relocate componates like washer res. and brake lines, cut and hack the wiring harness, then swap trannys or make a custom bell housing for the old one. so in short, not easy at all... it'd be cool as shit to see a 4.0 in a 1st gen. tho!

    A bit more work and money that its worth. You've got the engine, trans, ecu and wiring and shortening of the drive shaft. Your better off just getting an 05 and up.

    Why do want to get rid of the 3.4 motor? If you are looking to gain more hp out of the 3.4 consider supercharging the 3.4. Less money and less fab time.

    I'll be honest with you... i was considering the 4.0L AND the supercharger. i'm just looking to build something a little different.

    curious to see what's possible!

    Just drop a LS1 in if you're going to be doing all that fabrication.
