95 Regular cab w/3.4 V6 is it rare?

I am about to pull the trigger on a 1995.5 Tacoma 4x4 (~200k miles) and wanted some quick input. It is a regular cab 5-speed, but it has a 3.4 liter V6.

Is that common and is that engine reliable?

What is a fair price? (Blue book is $2500, but tacomas usually go for quite a bit more here in CA) Seller is asking for $3000

Thanks

Also, is there anything I should be paying close attention to when I go to look at it again?

Does CA = Canada or California?

The frame and the last time the timing belt was changed would be my major concerns

Do an autotrader.com or cars.com search and you will find out how rare they are compared to other Tacomas. BTW they were only available 95.5-97.

I have listed my 1996 Tacoma SX V6 4x4 with 95K original miles for sale on cars.com. However due to how rare this vehicle is, I have not set a price. I have received so many inquires that I finally decided to list it for sale while it still has under 100K miles. I am going to let the add run until I receive a very substantial offer. Just thought I would get the word out there for any serious buyers.

Thank you.
