Silencers on intake tube???

Has anyone taped off their silencers on the intake tube as part of the deck plate mod for the 2004 and older V-6's? I have heard it will help with better air flow. Anyone..........................

I have done this in the past. It does nothing but make the intake sound more noticable. No performance gain at all.

Yeah, no performance gain and it does make the engine roar a little more when you punch it.

It does nothing but make the intake sound more noticable. No performance gain at all. __________________ The simplest solutions are often the most clever..............they are also usually wrong.
