newbie question about locking rear diff

    hey im ne to the tacoma world and i was wondering how the locking rear differential works?

    The rear locker locks both wheels so that they both receive power no matter what.

    Is the locking rear diff for getting out of a bad stuck spot? It seems to me that you wouldn't drive (even on dirt) with the diff locked.

    The diff lock for off roading only. NEVER engage it on pavement.
