Encounter with a 96 taco today

I was helping my father install some equipment at an american legion way out in the sticks. I got talking with one of the guys that hangs around there all the time about tacomas (he had seen me pull in with mine) and he pointed out the the parking lot at his 96 which he has put 315000 miles on it. Granted, it didn't look great but 315000 miles on a truck is pretty impressive in my mind and is a testimate the the overall quality of a tacoma.

I also asked him if he has done any major repairs. His reply was, "na, not really"

They will go forever... My friend's '97 Taco has over 400,000 miles. And my '01 Sienna has 365,000.

 

I wish I could have gotten some pictures but alas, no camera and my phone is a piece lol
