rear lift with all pro pack

been saving for a new leaf pack now. was thinking if anyone has tried out the all pro packs? i'm not hauling stuff, so i don't mind the weight capacity. but are they good? also, thinking of getting the 3 inch lift? will that level up with the 5100's set to 2.5 at the front? and would i need extended brake lines as well? i don't go wheeling. just want the lift. thanks in advance for the inputs.

 

Typically with 2.5" of lift in the front, to make the vehicle sit level, you need to lift the rear about 1.5". 3" of rear lift will really make the rear end sit higher.

 

I've heard a lot of good reviews about the All Pro leaf packs and that's what I plan on buying when the time comes. However, if you're not going to wheel, why don't you just get some lift shackles and save yourself about $400.You don't need the extended brake line but for less than $30, may as well buy it and not have to worry about it.

 

If only i could do shackles. But i think my leafs are going to go soon. That's why i wanted to replace it with a new pack. Any other suggestions on what i can do to remedy this situation? One side of my leafs are almost flat but the other side seems still okay. Do you think AAL's can still fix it?

 

AAL's might help. I've been running shackles for about 2 years now and I've done plenty of wheeling and they're flat but with the shackles I'm able to maintain my lift. IMO, since you don't wheel I'd get shackles or an AAL. If you're a frequent wheeler then get leafs.

 

You can get the OME 2.5" leafs. Those are nice too. I love my AP 3" leafs though. Either way is good.

 

So you crawl around various blacktop surfaces outside malls?

No point in lifting if you don't wheel...worse mpg's, more wear on parts, less power (w/ larger tires).

and OP, I did an AAL in the rear with my 01 with saggy leafs, it worked great, but I am getting some axle wrap.
