I am nearing 60,000 miles on my '04. I was thinking of replacing my differential, cooling, and transmission fluids with Amsoil. Is this worth it in y'alls opinions?

Also what would be the recommendations for the fluids I need. There are a couple ones listed on the website and I think there is a certain combination for the locking differential.

Thanks for the help in advance, and let me know what you think.

For the differential you'll need to add 4 oz. (the bottle) of Amsoil Sliplok Additive. I've been using Amsoil on my truck since I purchased it new, it's got 68000 miles on it and no problems.

I don't think that the additive is required for the locking differential as it it is not a LSD. Mine just calls for straight 75-90. (the OP has a first gen)

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I had over 100k in my 98 when I put the Amsoil in. I had no issues.

You are correct sir. Only straight gear oil is necessary.

I may just replace all the fluids, considering I bought the truck with 49,000 miles on it and have no idea how it was treated before me.

They weren't. It's either a locker or aftermarket...........in which case the locker would need to be removed.

its a locker...so it just requires the regular 80w-90 gear fluid?

    Yes, no additive needed.
