When I start up the vehicle the brake light comes on and stays on for 5 minutes ands then goes off. It repeats always. I removed the wire from the master cylinder and this stops the brake fault. I presume that the cylnder pistons leak. Is it worthwhile to rebuild or should I buy new replacement?
When I bought the car used in 2001 the seller told me it was an SR5 and prerunner. When I look up the part it asks whether it is an SR5 or prerunner. I am confused about what I bought. Otherwise great vehicle.
    Thank you,
    Hamish J. Wilson

some of this, a little of that
Are you sure that is the problem? I would want to be sure before I started tearing into and rebuilding things. Are you sure it is not asking if it a 4x4 or prerunner?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Check the fluid level and the E-brake.

Pre-runner = 2wd on a 4wd chasis/suspension. SR5 is just a bling package (chrome this and that, maybe different seats).

Also...no such thing as a Tundra Prerunner.

Pretty sure they only had 2wd and 4wd models...no "prerunners (2wd on 4wd frame)
