Ok, I bought an 01 Taco, 4cyl 4x4 5spd in silver... love the truck! Runs great, needs a little TLC though. The fender flares are faded, and the trim has fallen off of one, and is half way off on another.

My first thought was to replace them all... then I saw how much they were! So, I searched and found the plethora of repaint threads... this looks like my route! But my question is... can I order just the rubber trim from Toyota? What kind of adhesive should I use to put them on the fender flares?

    Thanks in advance,
    JD

IIRC, THe rubber strips come with an adheasive tape on the back side of them, for instalation.

Let me know how much u pay for the rubber strips cuz I'm thinking of doing the same thing soon

Also to restore the fenders try mr clean magic erasers there like 3 dollars and do wonders for the fender flairs even faded ones

When I re did the ones On my first gen, thats how they were from the dealer. I think they were about 10 bucks per wheel.

I just ordered them from Toyota parts zone for about 11 bucks apiece. It worked out since I needed some other toyota parts... so I didnt get raped in the shipping charges for just the rubber pieces!
