Hi everyone. I was just wondering if a stock 2.4 intake assembly fit on my 2.7. Because I am looking to buy one for my 2.7. Thanks

I'm pretty sure they're the same. Do you currently have one you could take a picture of? Or is yours completely gone?

I dont think the 2.4 and 2.7 are interchangable. The whole intake unit routes to the throttle body which looks to be more on top on the block with the 2.4 rather than the 2.7 engine has the throttle body more to a side.

so essentially what im trying to say is that the 2.4 looks like the piping goes parallel with the ground and the 2.7 looks like it goes more vertical to the throttle body

Me too. From what I've seen, the boxes are the same. The 2.7 you have there says VVT-I on it, which is only on the 2nd gens.

So should I get the 2.4 to replace my 2.7?

Should be the same on the 1st generation. I use the have the 2.4 2000 model, replaced the intake system with k&n air intake, and then sold the truck. Then I bought a 2.7 2004 2wd truck to upgrade the intake system, realized I should have kept the k&n from previous truck. It is completely identical.
