Painting front lower fascia

I am looking to refresh the appearance of my 04 PreRunner crew cab, and in doing so, I would like to paint my lower black plastic front fascia. Has anyone successfully tackled this feat? If so, what did you use, and how has it held up?

 

there are a few people on here that have herculined there whole grille and lower valance on the front of their truck and it looks rugged as hell,i would imagine it would hold up quite well if you decide to herculine it,even painting it would hold up pretty good as well as long as you do some good prep work.

 

I took my fenders off and painted them with the krylon fusion paint, they still looked good a few months later. So then I wanted to do the front bumper part. Instead of trying to deal with taking the bumper off I just taped it off really well and hit it with a few coats. Still looks good a few months later as well. Don't leave bugs on it for too long or they seem to be a pain to get off but all is good besides that.

when you used the kylon fusion, did you prime it with primer or just hit it with the fusion?

 

bondo....RESTORE BLACK.....it is a gel and comes with an applicator--walmart or autopart store around $10
easy, just use a wet rag if you contact a surface that you don' want black
