I know I'm new to this forum, and perhaps ignurnt, but while examining the airbox for the deckplate mod I noticed the topside trap door to remove/insert the air filter. I popped the door off easily at the hinges and presto...a free flowing air supply directly above the air filter. This gave me at least 2 mpgs when I don't stomp on it to get it to make that cool sound.

Regarding my previous post here; why do the deckplate mod when this seems to work the same?

If you can service/change an air filter, you can do a deckplate mod. It's that easy.
