header turned my truck into a rice burner

    header,short rack and pinion, heavy duty shocks, grill guard, flowmaster exhaust,pacesetter header without catalytic converter, one 10 inch xant sub with a mtx amp, off road lights,diamondplate tool box,rhinolined inside cab,ngk plugwires.
    it sounds terrible i have a 96 2.7 just installed the header and it sounds like a rice burned pacesetter must suck can anyone offer any suggestions on how i can make it sound deeper

    well flowmaster is the brand. there are several series models. the 40 series is an example.

    what would you suggest for the deepest sound i went to there site but i do not know what the technical stuff means i can install them and break them but i cannot buy them lol i always went with stock

    getting there....
    go with either the flow 40 or delta flow 40, or the super 44.........all these are deep!!!

    thats a good question. flowmaster isnt really my forte. personally i like the ricer sound. but from my research people are really fond of the flowmaster 40 series

    yeah will knows about this alot better than i do

    and go to a stock exhaust manifold or will the flowmaster cancel uout the annoying screaming

    getting there....
    keep the header for now, and see if you like it with the muffler first. it should cancel some of the ricey sound, and you will have a growl/rumble that will sound way better than anything ricey!!!

    its so bad i hate driving my truck cant wait to see how deep this will sound did anyone see my cluth post thats a goofy one if you read it clutch and slace cylinder are new

    More cubes, and more cyclinders is what's required to not sound like a ricer.

    solved tis header issue took out my hollow catilytic converter lol and welded a pipe from the muffler to the header sounds great
