    Hey guys, quick question.

I replaced my torn CV-boot with a whole new half-axle from Autozone -- seems to be a pretty popular choice. No issues (well, aside from those damn cone washers ) until I started putting everything back together.

The issue is that after I put the hub back on, it doesn't appear to switch all the way into the locked position. It goes from "FREE" to about three-quarters of the way to "LOCKED". Any suggestions while I still have the tire off? I've taken the thing apart probably three times, and it won't go all the way to "LOCKED".

Is there any way to test if its locked while the switch is as far as it goes?

Appreciate the help in advance. I'm pretty handy with DIY car projects -- but this is my first truck, especially with 4x4.

Never mind -- figured out my issue was a spring fitment JUST in case anyone decides to read this :p

Helpful link with great pictures of disassembling/reassembling hub (not of a Tacoma, but same thing essentially) <http://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota-truck-tech/149776-rebuilding-aisin-locking-hub-locking-hub-rebuild.html>
