So im trying to swap trans

Changing my DC to Manual if i find the parts soon, i found 96+ model tacoma 4WD, im not looking to change to 4WD but i need the trans for sure, havent researched the driveshaft yet, so it may be the same length/spline count as mine.

My question is, can i use the 4WD trans on the 2WD Prerunner and not use the transfer case? What will i need to change if anything? Tail section of the trans?
