Anyone buy new seatbelts for their first gen?

noticed several places on the net seem to mention the seat belts are generic.

want ones that work and easy to install.

    any input would be great.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Comes down to new or used.

Around $150.00 for new myself if I really needed a seat belt I would get one from a Part out of a newer model.

I replaced mine earlier this year through my dealer. They only had certain colors available (mine was) & it was expensive. Like $300 IIRC. I was happy b/c I wanted OEM but I wouldn't say its necessary.

I bought my truck this summer and the driver’s side belt was shredded, I think the previous owner had a fender bender and it locked so they yanked on it until it came out… I ended up buying a factory replacement in the blue-gray from a dealer, this one has a lot of OEM parts that are not available from other dealers: https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/...Shoulder-Belt-Front/4231401/7322004140B0.html. The price is $160, I think with tax and shipping it was around $180.

These guys have a very good reputation on eBay. I am considering having them redo my front driver's belt. I don't know the extent of their repair work where the actual mechanisms are concerned if at all. I found like most eBay offerings you get the best deal by adding the service to your watch and then in a couple of days they will offer you a discount.

Here is their direct contact, you may save a few dollars going this route. Also if you choose eBay to purchase. SAFETYRESTORE10 is a discount code that will save you 10%.

I just wish Toyota would make some that re-tract, I put 2 new ones in from Toyota after repainting my truck, just as bad as the old ones, won't re-tract, such a bummer.

I had a issue with a 240sx years ago , the dealer replaced them free of charge as it’s a safety issue , might want to look into that
