hi new to the forum. i recently got a 2000 tacoma 4 cyl reg cab with a 2in toytech lift ( spacers in the front and aad in the back) the ride is harsh enough that im looking for a new lift. my buddy told me that 2nd gen tacoma front coils will fit and provide a 2 in lift. and seeing as i can pick up a set on the cheap on craigslist i wanted to see if anyone could validate or disprove this. thanks for any imput.

I have tried this, and it does not work. The top bolt pattern is different first of all, but I went way beyond that eventually fabbing a new top plate. The 2nd gen strut is way too long. when I finally got it bolted up the cv axle was seperated and wouldnt slip back in. I really wanted this mod to work, but dont waste your time like I did.
