Picked up my truck 2 months ago, I've been on TW for a few weeks now, i love it.

Some more pics... a year later. Looking to trade for a 1st gen DC 4x4 at some point..
Still happy with it for now, though!
Took the mud flaps off and painted my wheels. Metallic black. I also had the tires turned around later on.

A day of mud.. and fun.

This thing BARELY fits... Glad I didn't have to go too far.

Rigged up this sub enclosure, still trying to figure out how to keep it from moving around...

My favorite mod so far... :D

Finally got some pics up after lowering it and adding new (to me) wheels and tires.

2" belltech drop springs up front and 3" blocks out back. 16x7 Motegi MR-8 wrapped with 225/50/16 Hankook Ventus V12. (I really want 17's)
I still wanna go lower. I'd like to move on down to a 4/4 drop.

Current setup for winter in Northern Ohio:
205/70/15 Firestone Winterforce on the stock painted steelies.

Tried these on for size this weekend. With a little tweaking and some paint matched 4x4 fender flares they should look pretty good, I think.

XXR 521 18x10 +25mm all the way around. Tires are 245-40-18 (going to replace them with 265 or 275-40-18). Truck only has 2" belltech springs and 3" blocks.

yea they're some random generic tires that came with it, they're practically new. i need to turn the white letters in. Great tires though, good traction, i imagine they're pretty cheap.

No sad face-that is a hellova motor too! Toyota did not f around when designing these little hotrod 4-bangers. My stepson had the 2.4 in a '99 regular cab and that truck was pretty quick and unbeatably tough. It took a Chevy silverado utility truck loaded with auto glass rearending Mark's truck at 40mph to kill it.

Hate to say this, but in my opinion you shouldn't lift it and get plate bumpers. It would be definition of mall crawler. You won't be able to off-road in that (unless off-roading is a wet dirt road) so it will look like a poser truck. It looks good how it is, maybe just level the front up.

Who cares if it is a mall crawler? If that's the look he wants/likes then let it be. You don't have to offroad to have a lifted truck or a steel bumper.

despite the fact that it's a 2wd, this truck does get used as a truck and will get used as a truck even more. You probably can't tell but about a month ago it was in a little less than a foot of mud. (yes it did get stuck, kind of.A heavier bumper would be a great place to mount a winch, yea?). besides, the closest mall to me is over 20 miles away. The real mall crawlers are diesel trucks driven by acne-smitten kids who rely on their parents to pay for everything, smoke included.

not tryin to be a dick, i just don't want the first impression that people get of me to be that i'm a poser or what have you?

    thanks.

Everyone has their own opinion, and you will never be able to please all. So, do what you like, and that should be good enough. Good luck with your mods!
