uax mp3 input tacoma 1998

is there a way to mount an mp3 or aux input on a base tacoma 1998 radio for an iphone or ipod or mp3 player to plug into. im ready to take apart the radio hate to do it but my cassette player can only keep playing so long and i need an input if i can.

mine (1998 taco) just lets my ipod rest on the carpet righ next to my shifter. but i can change the song just like changing radio sation.

 

i need an aux to plug the ipod into instead of going through the casette player or trying to dial into a radio station which is never a good reception through radio waves i need a direct input for an mp3.

i took it apart and theres no where to directly plug into can these be wired or made to work or just get a new radio it old its a 1998 they didnt really have to many mp3 players back then.

im not trying to mount the ipod im tryng to plug it into an mp3 uaxillary port to play my ipod through the radio speakers.

 

ya i know man. i have a new whole sterio system along with the subs and amp. you need to get rid of that 98 radio and look on ebay and find another one so u can plug in your ipod. mine is kinda of custom and the axillary cord comes out below the slide out ash/ change tray.
