Lift kit reccomendations for a 03 Taco TRD

I am planning on doing an all suspension lift. (in other words no spacers/blocks.)

What are some recommendations for new coils up front? something that will maximize my wheel travel.

For the rear i have heard that an add a leaf is the best way to go.

Along with new coils and leafs i would get bigger shocks maybe BILSTEIN 5100's or some other shocks with external resevoirs.

I have had pretty good luck with All-Pro coilovers. They were the cheapest adjustable coilovers at the time I bought them. They ride good and have the same travel as all the rest. If I did it again I think I would spend a little more on the Donahoe coilovers. I also got the 3" All-Pro rear leafs with Bilstein 5150's. The leafs and shocks ride great, have good flex, and keep wheel hop to a minimum but mine still sit about 3.5" after 2 years. I think they are closer to 4" than 3".

Yours UCAs limit the travel. If you want the maximum travel using your stock LCAs and CV axles, buy Camburg/Total Chaos UCAs and an extended travel coilover (Icon, King, Fox)

If you live where they salt the roads, I wouldn't buy adjustable coilovers, as after one winter they wont be adjustable anymore unless you wash them every other day.

 

UCA limiting travel is debatable.

Agree with you on coilovers in areas where they salt the roads. Another reason to go with OME.

 

Like box rocket I am going with ome 3" kit . Wheelers has a complete kit with brakelines and everything you need.

Right now I'm running Eibach springs with Bilsteins in front and back with an AAL (add-a-leaf). I'm getting a little less than three inches with an ARB bumper. It's a little rough on little bumps but is very responsive on the bigger hits; takes them with ease. So far, I like it quite a bit. I use it as a daily driver and getting to hunting/skiing destinations as well. Hasn't let me down yet.

For the guys that have spent the time to tell him to search the forums, why not suggest some search suggestions to help him along?

 

do u have any pictures of that setup? at the moment i have 5100's up front in the middle setting and nothing in the back ans i was looking for a little more, maybe enough to fit a 285 tire

Nope, last time it was aligned it was all in spec. Haven't had any troubles thus far. I did put on the diff drop and dropped the carrier bearing with some orings (as shims).

 

Running the Eibach springs with 5100s up front. Also have 5100s in the rear with the 2" Toytec AAL.

Love the ride and the height.
