They're not 8069's, they look like Crager Soft 8's.

Yes - just because I could put the URL sticker in my rear window.

Well I'm in Newfoundland - that little island on the eastern edge of the continent. We have a local classifieds website called "NL Classifieds." That's where I found it.

Moreover, the guy's ad had no photo and was like 6 pages back. It was also just a list of Tacoma parts with the cap at the very end. No wonder he didn't get any calls! Good thing I'm addicted to searching for truck goodies.

But to answer your question, just scour your local classifieds as best you can, and make a habit of it. Sometimes you might forget about something you're looking for because you can't find it at the right price, but if you keep checking, a great deal might pop up out of nowhere months down the road.

    ....or something.

Close! They're actually Pro Comp Series 98s.

And for anyone who wants to try these on a first gen, at least 2001-04, they only clear the front calipers by about a millimetre or two without spacers.

I tried the locals but nothing that looks like that.
does it have the manufacturers name at least? even better a model name? or a number? I'll take it from there...

    Thanks!

The brand is "Action" by Action Truck Caps and Accessories, which is a Canadian company with locations all across Canada.

    Here is their website: http://www.actiontrucks.com/caps/

I see you're in SoCal, so that might make it harder to grab one, especially used. Just looking at the website, it looks like the particular model I have is an earlier version of the "Innovator III," which I would personally have never picked just by seeing the picture on the website.

I still can't believe I have a cap on my truck, and a HIGH RISE cap at that! How the hell did that happen?

    Thanks man. Cheers.

Looks great, man! I can see it in your avatar/gallery.

Feels weird to be a "cap guy," eh? Satisfying, but weird.

Yeah, for sure. When I first bought my truck I said I would never get one, but the more I thought about it I liked the idea more. And I've got 2 dogs so they will like it, just like yours do!:D
