lots of gear reductions...... and its a 4-banger so even more gear reductions. paha nice build though it would be a nice toy.

with as low as he has the gears down its only made for one thing, you load it onto a trailer, go rock crawlin then load it up again and go home. its purpose built but with all that work i would have dropped a 350 chevy small block and a couple transfer cases in it and called it a day.

 

My '85 is on 37s with a 22RE with 5.11's. It can do 60 on the highway with little not too much effort.

So thats about right on his gears with 39's as that 4 banger has some more umph than the 22RE.

 

It's nice, but I don't like the way the bed looks and the steering wheel is put on crooked, which drives me nuts. Also I noticed he has it 4-linked in the rear but he only has leaf suspension up front, which I think looks weird.

 

yea if i done links i would link the front first with the rear on leafs. then work on links in the rear later
