    thought i'd share these pictures. cheapo spring compressor from any local discount auto parts store, $30. Kind of sketch to use, notice the bend in the bolts!!!!! but it got the job done, and is still in one piece. just take your time and be careful if you decide to go at this yourself. definitely need a bench mounted vice to hold your shock in while working on compressing the coils, fyi.

    What I meant by line-up bar is pretty much what someone mentioned, pry-bar. Instead of a flat, prying end it's got an end like a punch, which would also work. You should be able to muscle the LCA down enough to shove the punch or line-up bar trough the LCA tabs and the lower strut mount. Just to help you get a bolt in the other side.Here's a pic of where I'm talking about.
