HELP - Please Share Your Muffler Experience

I am looking for a muffler for my ’03 Taco 4X4 that has less restriction to improve my power and mileage.
If it makes more noise, that’s OK too.
Has anyone found a muffler that generated these results?

thats a tricky question i have went through 4 mufflers. but it was for sound reasons. honestly i didnt feel the power dif. if you want loud and or throaty i can help you out.

 

Flowmaster 50 Series

 

dynomax super turbo muffler.

 

i have a 40 series flowmaster sounds good. plus have a turn down behind the muffler

 

My muffler experience is as follows...
Stock 3RZ or 5VZ- PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Flowmaster 40 delta (on 3RZ)- BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Same Flowmaster with stock tailpipe put back on- BURRRRRRRRRRRR

 

Oh and no mileage/power difference...except my butt dyno thought the 3RZ accelerated a little quicker w/ the Flowmaster.

 

Maganaflow, Borla, Aero Turbine, Dynomax Super Turbo, WickedFlow, Flowmaster.
All sound good and good mufflers.

I have the Aero Turbine 2525 and I love it. It is a straight pass-through muffler (yes, you can see straight through it) that creates its own vortex and actually helps draw air out of it instead of air being pushed through it. Tell me that won't increase your air flow! Plus, I love the throaty sound it has on my V6. Highly recommended.

 

my Flowmaster 40 series sounds pretty good, its not to loud when just driving normal but if i come on to it you can definitly tell theres a flowmaster under ya. its hard to say if it gave much more power or even if the mileage changed from stock to aftermarket. no noticible numbers anyway.
