ABS 02 4x4 TRD Taco

    Do I have ABS, This may sound stupid but but its been snowing and very cold here and Ive locked my brakes a few times already and it just dawned on me that the ABS didnt kick in.

    take a look under your hood.
    if you do there should be a 'box' with your brake lines running to it on the passenger side above/behind the wheel well.
    if not then no you do not have abs.

    from the sounds of it you don't.

    I believe it was still an option in 02... so it's very possible you don't. But yes your passenger side of the engine bay will look strangely empty if you don't have ABS... like "Hey why'd they leave so much room over here???"

    ABS wasn't standard in 2002, though it was available as a factory option.

    I dont have it, I am surprised that it would be an option, not that Im complaining but thats strange.

    Yeah I thought I would have it b.c my 01 has every option except auto tranny, but I've locked the brakes up (on purpose...slip tests) a couple times and they stay locked.

    I have ABS brakes... I don't really care for them though it sucks... Is there anyway to get rid of the ABS brakes???
