Not 74's. Went to Advance Auto Parts tonight, doesn't fit in the factory socket because of the glass surround on the bulb.

I know im a little late on this post. Just thought I throw it out there so other will know.:)

    I think on 01-04s they're 194s

    On 95-97 they're 74s

I got a 03 and there not 194 either. I'm going to go to Yota dealer and get the numbers later this week. I am probably going to ask them for bulb sizes for the entire dash stuff, because i need an ash tray bulb too, and I can't find that either!!

I didn't even know I had a glove box light... geez every time I get on here I find out about a new bulb out in my cab.

I would imagine that the "instrumental-general" is talking about behind the cluster perhaps.

I didnt know I had a glove box light either untill I looked to install one. Its burnt out of course. Turns out the actual bulb is (49 12V12W) and not a 74....WTH? Its smaller than a 74 as well and i cant seem to find a bulb like this. Anyone else know what I'm talking about or am I alone on this?.....

Yes the gauge lights are 194's. I stuck some blue LED's in mine last week because I had two that were burnt out also. The ones I found are not spotty and work perfectly with the dimmer. http://www.lumenshid.com/ledbulb.html. I used the one in the top left corner but I think you can find the exact ones for cheaper on ebay but thats the design that works the best.

How about the ones behind the temp control panel above the radio? 74s? I saw some controversy earlier in the thread but they are way too small to be 194s

im swapping to all red led's. they arent cheap so i want to make sure first haha. but if u find what works for you let me know! you have the same temp control panel as me im assuming. just 3 knobs and two buttons between the knobs? should be 3 main bulbs behind the face. im wondering if i can switch the color of the lights in the a/c and recycle buttons too... also am curious about the clock. if i cant find a way to make it red, ill probably just take it out and put a switch panel there. oh and one more... how about the map lights? i want to make the interior dome and map lights to either a natural or warm white led

I have replaced my instrument lights already. Those were easy. I am going for red as well.

The dome lights you just need a festoon style bulb. These will Fit. You might run into an issue where they don't work unless the truck is on. Just solder in 1 watt 100 ohm resister to each of them and it should work. It took 2 in my dome lights for it to work.

I am assuming the buttons are illuminated by the same bulbs for the knobs. But i have not looked to see. Also, we have a glove box light? When did this happen.

Gahhh don't really want to deal with soldering resistors and crap. I'm not the best solderer. I was hoping just to buy the bulbs lol
