Oddball brake / hub combination?

I know PreRunners are basically 4-wheelers without the front wheels driven. But how far did Toyota take them into 4WD land?

I want to swap the brake rotors out for something better, haven't really checked what's out there yet but eventually I will.

My PreRunner has the 4 piston brake calipers, like the 4WD units do.

The Haynes book I bought shows the 4 piston calipers ONLY on units with the driven hubs. Those rotors simply slide off the hub.

But on mine I don't have the driven hubs, got the regular 2WD hubs. I think. Is there a kind of hub that's inbetween, like a 4WD unit but without the hookups for a front pumpkin?

So what kind of rotors would I order, the slide off kind (4WD) or the bolted on kind (2WD)?

I know I could just go out and yank a wheel off, but truthfully I'm trying to figure out what exactly Toyota did with the PreRunners.

 

Excellent! The slide off kind are cheaper (and a lot easier to put on) than the bolted ones.
