What Height is This Lift? Just Purchased First Tacoma

Hi everyone, I have been on TacomaWorld non stop since I purchased my first truck/ Tacoma a few weeks ago. Now I am planning on upgrading my lift and could really use some advice and help. I want to go slightly higher (preferably) than what I have now, but not sure which route to go. Whats on now looks like a 3 inch lift but I'm not sure, what do you all think? After much reading on this forum I am leaning towards 5100's at all four corners, and an AAL. But what inch AAL will I need to purchase to have my truck sitting level? I'm kinda anal about that I don't want the front sitting higher than the back and vice versa.

Check if there's lift blocks in the front above the spring coils/in the back on the spring perch. Also check for lift shackles or AAL (stock packs have 3 leafs and 1 overload). With those, you can see how much lift they are giving.

Luckily, doesn't look like your truck has a body lift.

Bare with me as I am a complete noob when it comes to lifts, but I believe I have spacers up front( there is 2 separate red polyurethane pieces which I'm sure are spacers) with the stock billys, and not sure what the back has, the leaf pack looks stock so I'm thinking it has lift shackles. Ill have to take some pics when I get off work and post them so I can get the info I need.

 

There could also be blocks in the back... The leaves should sit right on the axle. If there's a metal box between the leaves and the axle, you've got block s

I Def have no blocks. Ive seen other pics on here with lift blocks so I know what those look like.

 

I can see shackles sticking down....so you have a shackle rear lift and spacer front lift. You will be upgrading greatly if you get an AAL for rear (ditch the aftermarket shackles), and get billy 5100's for all four corners. Set the fronts @ 2.5", you'll be set! Great looking taco!

BTW...def provide undercarriage/suspension pics so we can 100% verify your current setup

 

x2 get some up close pictures of the front suspension and rear. we can confirm exactly what you have.

 

Thanks a lot for the help man, I will Def post some pics of the suspension asap. I know I want the Billy 5100's all around that seems to be the most popular and best choice, but do you know what inch AAL to get to make it sit even/level? Would you recommend an AAL or full leaf set? Thanks again

 

PROBABLY THE 2" aal i think thats what the majority of kits come with and you shouldnt need new packs unless yours are frowning and just wore out.

looks like 2 inch shackles, and some type of coilover. thats not a spacer lift..

 

it looks like a polyurethane spacer to me....with red bellows to match...hmmm i'm thinking rancho shocks?

Get a different angle of the front setup, like a complete profile pic.

 

Coilovers Really?? I was really thinking it has spacers because the shocks are the stock billys. I dont see a spot where I can adjust them either.

 

it may be a spacer but its a small one, maybe some stiff coils for the lift?

 

here are some more pics thanks again for the help guys! I went through a grass field today and the suspension was very squeaky thats one reason I want to replace it. Im thinking my shocks are bad they look like stock billy's but im not 100% sure

 

Bilstein 5100's are nice, and an AAL is a good option for the rear. I have that setup and the ride quality is great.

chris 4x4, I'm leaning towards you on this one. The pic you posted of the daystar lift looks exactly what im seeing. Does my truck look level to you from the first couple pics?
