I need to replace the antenna on my '03 Tacoma. It used to be a powered one, but the one in it now isn't. From what I can tell, the wire to the radio must be replaced along with the antenna base that secures to the quarter-panel. The antennas themselves aren't expensive, and come complete with the wire etc... What I need to know as this is my first Tacoma, is how to get the radio out to access the antenna feed wire in back, and thread it out to the mounting position etc... Does anyone know of a way to do this smartly, and easily?
    Thanks

Clarkie, thanks a ton for that link to take out the radio and dash etc... You were right, the old antenna wasn't powered. I figured that out once I removed it. As for the directions to remove the dash board and radio panels etc., I couldn't have done that easy repair without your reference to that link.
    thank again. Happy New Year!
