most economical suspension upgrade

My stock TRD suspension can probably be replaced. The rear leafs are flat w/ no load and the ride isn't very good(although I haven't sat in a tacoma with new suspension to compare).

I'm not looking for a lift, since I don't want to deal with the problems that comes after a lift. So with that said, what is the most economical soln that will give me better ride?

 

I have never worked on a suspension upgrade. So I am not an expert by any means. I asked myself the same question about 2 weeks ago.

After a little research, I think the cheapest and best solution for my truck was Bilstein 5100s front and rear plus a Wheeler's Single Add-A-Leaf. I will be installing mine in about 1 week.

You might have to replace your leafs instead of Add-A-Leaf. Since my truck is extremely low mileage, I don't think I will have to.

 

ya if the leafs are too flat, the AAL won't do anything for you

Wheeler's sells a 4 pack to keep the stock ride height

 

Best bet is probably just new springs and shocks from one of the auto parts chains, AutoZone, Pep Boys, Kragen/OReilly, etc...

 

i would not go to a chain store, you want good quality.i did mine last year,bilsteins all around,heavy duty leafs. 50mph curves are now 80+, with no lean.dont know where you are but this might give you direction....denver spring 303-295-7638
